Now that we have settled into our home, developing a routine schedule has been keeping our family very active. Many of our prayer & financial partners have been asking us for a snapshot into our daily life here in North Africa, so here is a little tour of what a week in our lives looks like.
On September 11th, classes began for the school we are interning at, which means English teaching commenced for William! He has the amazing opportunity to be lead teacher for three language clubs (similar to a typical English class) for this upcoming academic year, students anywhere from 9 to 14 years old. This particular school known as the "Club" approaches teaching English to a wide range of ages through various activities including woodworking, art, music, sports, and much more. In addition to these activities, there are also English classes where students practice speaking, writing, and reading the English language using a more traditional approach. This classroom setting is one of the places William spends a few days a week in, as he is teaching the most advanced English speaking students at the "Club." In addition to teaching, William has taken on the responsibility of budget keeping and is currently working to submit a cashflow analysis for the 2023-2024 school year. He also meets with the director of the school one day each week to discuss what business practices and principals should be cultivated for possible future endeavors.

In addition to work, language lessons, homework, and family life, we participate in a local gathering who has presented us with many different means to stay connected in the community throughout the rest of our week. Georgia has been consistently meeting with other expat moms & babies on a weekly basis through play dates and one-on-one meet ups. She also had the opportunity to help organize a bi-weekly gathering for expat women. On top of that, we take time to meet with our site leaders and fellow interns on Monday nights. Somehow, we still manage to get out and about daily to explore our surrounding area.
