Behind the Scenes of our Fundraising Family

I know you've been hearing us talk a lot about our "contact list" and asking people to join. But what is this contact list?

Since we first knew that we would be fundraising for our stay overseas, we have been keeping a running list of names, phone numbers, and addresses of friends and family members. These people have expressed interest in hearing more details that we can't publicly share (for privacy sake), and want to stay up to date with our lives while we are overseas. Over the past two years, we have accumulated over 300 names of people who are interested in staying connected! You could call these our V.I.P. so to speak! If you are a part of our contact list, you will be receiving some very special mail and an opportunity to meet with us face-to-face (in person or through zoom) to get the inside scoop.

Yes, I know what you may be thinking...how do you stay organized knowing you need to reach 300 plus people through mail and over the phone?

Week by Week

For those who have joined our contact list, we have some special things we will be sending your way. Here's a little sneak peek! First, you will be getting a beautiful letter that includes pictures of our sweet family, what our lives have been looking like currently, and what our future working in business will look like! Along with that letter comes a really neat hand designed sticker by William Vice just to say "thank you" for taking the time to read what has been on our hearts! Following the letter and sticker will come a hand written postcard displaying another sweet picture of our family as a prayer card for you to hold onto! On the front of the post card has another sweet picture of our family and a verse that has been inspiring our efforts in our fundraising campaign.

The Flow of Contact

If you are reading this and know that you have given us your contact information, you may be wondering: so...where is my letter at?

Since we began our fundraising campaign a month ago, each week we reach out to 12 people from our contact list, splitting it between the both of us 6 and 6. By the time August rolls around, we will have reached out to every single person on our list!

Week one of our fundraising campaign, we began by mailing 12 letters to 12 family members and close friends. Week two we sent those same contacts a postcard to follow their letter. In addition, we picked another 12 contacts and mailed them a letter. Week three we called each person from week one asking to schedule a face to face meeting to share more details! In addition, we sent postcards to our second group of 12 in week two, and we picked another group of 12 to send letters to. And so on and so forth from here! Do you get the general flow? Sounds a bit overwhelming! Let me share a visual reference instead.

This example schedule shows how each week we will be sending out new letters, postcards, and setting up meetings! So, if you haven't received your letter yet, be expecting one soon!

Prayer Point Takeaways

In light of this weekly fundraising schedule, we are expecting a very busy summer coming up! We are always asking for prayer support which any person can partake in! Here are some specific ways you can be lifting us up in prayer:

• that we would meet our fundraising goal before getting on the plane to North Africa! Although we only need part of our goal met before leaving, we are asking you to pray that God would move in radical ways to give us exactly what we need.

• for open hearts of those we are reaching out to, and encouraging conversations

• for time to be able to rest and connect with each other in the midst of constant outflow of mail, meetings, our personal events, and William's work schedule.

We appreciate all of you for taking the time to read what is on our hearts and lift us up in prayer which is the greatest support of all!
